Cabela's has a distinctive look to their retail operations, a look which turns them into tourist attractions as well as retail stores. The stores are more like cavernous showrooms, bringing the outdoors inside. They feature museum-quality displays of taxidermied wildlife, largeaquariums, indoor mountains, and archery ranges. The success of the format is illustrated by the company's Kansas City, Kansas store at over 180,000 square feet, attracted more than four million customer visits in one year. Currently, the largest Cabela's retail facility is in Hamburg, Pennsylvania, with more than 250,000 square feet of floor space.

The purpose of CCHRC is to stimulate an interest in and encourage the use of trained retrievers for hunting as a wildlife conservation tool, to stimulate interest and encourage members to perfect retrievers suitable for such work by selective breeding, to offer field hunting tests and events for retrievers, and to provide wholesome recreation.
The Marin Retriever Club was established in 1974 by a cross-section of retriever owners who felt there was a need for a multi-purpose Retriever club. The objects of the club are to promote the training of purebred retrievers; to conduct field training sessions for the training of retriever breeds and their handlers; to encourage the training of judges; to encourage and cooperate with individuals and other groups with similar purposes; to hold an dsupport Hunting Retriever Tests; exhibitions and matchs under the rules and regulations of the American Kennel Club; and to promote cooperation and good sportsmanship among its members in the training and exhibition of retriever breeds. Our members have retrievers representing different levels of Hunting, Field, Obedience and Show Competition.
